White House hotel is a boutique hotel nestled among the lush velvet greens hills of the Queen of hills, Mussoorie. Located on the main Dehradun- Mussoorie Road, at No.1, New Mall Road, Barlowganj, Mussoorie, it is adjacent to Jaypee Residency Manor, a five star hotel and opposite St. George College. The White House hotel at Mussoorie consists of 33 rooms, 4 suites and 2 stand-alone cottages and boasts of a breath-taking panoramic view of the Doon Valley. The east wing of the hotel exclusively consists of the hotel rooms and facilities for the hotel, while some portion of the west wing is occupied by the owners of the hotel who belong to the erstwhile Dahar Royal family.

The hotel has many manicured gardens embellishing its landscape where the guests can enjoy high tea while feasting on cucumber sandwiches and cream scones and being exquisitely enthralled with the dazzling lights dancing in the sky over the Doon Valley. The Hotel has a BANQUET HALL and a RESTAURANT on the main terrace on the third level of the hotel by the name of “SONGS IN THE WIND“, which can seat up-to 50 people. In casemore people need to be accommodated, the adjoining terraces on either side of the Banquet Hall can be opened up to accommodate up-to 100 people. Menu consists of Continental, Mughlai, Chinese and Indian cuisine. How to book a room?

To book a room, please call us on 9999 404 328 or 9810860138.or email us at sales.whitehousehotels@yahoo.com. The hotel will give you a booking number with the booking coordinates. Booking advance money depends upon the time of the year. RESERVATIONS ARE ONLY VALIDATED BY A BOOKING NUMBER.

What is the cancellation policy?

If the guest cancels fifteen (15) or more days before the booking date than then 25% of the booking amount will be forfeited. If the guest cancels at least seven (7) but less than 15 days prior to the booking date than 50% of the booking amount will be forfeited. If the booking is cancelled less than two (2) days from the booking date then the entire booking amount will be forfeited.

The extra person policy

The stay is free for one child under 5 years on the same double bed. Children more than 5 years will be charged as an extra person whether the guest takes an extra bed or not. The maximum number of extra persons per room is one and as per hotels policy the extra person occupancy in the room is charged, irrespective of whether the guests requests for an extra bed or not.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the hotel.

Check in and check out time

Check in time is 12 noon. If you arrive in the morning and your room is available before 12 noon, we will check you in as per availability. Check out time is 11 am.

The front desk hours

The front desk hours are from 7 AM to 11 PM, unless specifically requested or in case of an event or party or as a special case. Usually the guests call up and indicate what time they would be arriving so that someone is always there to receive them. Check out time should always be intimated by AT LEAST half an hour in advance. The billing is done when the desk is manned by an authorized person. If you are leaving early in the morning the guest can check out the night before if requested by the guest.

Room service

For hygiene purposes we do not allow meals in the rooms.We have a restaurant, a terrace hall, lawns and the balconies for an enjoyable meal.Orders for the meals have to be placed at least an hour in advance. No orders for dinner will be taken after 9 pm.

Banking

There is a SBI branch and an ATM within walking distance in the Barlowgunj market.

Doctor on call

We have a doctor on call, subject to the doctors availability.

Laundry service

We have laundry service. Washing of clothes by the guests is strictly prohibited including drying of clothes on outside the hotel rooms or in the balcony etc.

Can we play any sports on the premises?

Sorry, no cricket, football or any other sport allowed on the premises or lawns as it disturbs the other guests.

Car parking

We have adequate car parking at our gate.

Indemnification

Any damage caused to the property of the hotel shall be reimbursed by the guests.

Water and electricity usage

Keeping in mind the scarcity of water and global warming it is our constant endeavour to preserve water as much as possible. The guests are requested to ensure that while leaving the hotel rooms they switch off the geysers and all lights and fans and T.V’s in the rooms.
